The 100-by-125-foot blue wall at 2937 E. Grand Blvd., which shows "flowing watercolor of multicolored paint splatters," was created by Katherine Craig in 2009. The mural, dedicated in 2009, was created with more than 100 gallons of paint poured from the roof of the building in Milwaukee Junction, an area some say is the next neighborhood to bloom with development. The colors were then spread across the wall using "a number of unexpected everyday objects — from fire extinguishers to salad-dressing bottles," resulting in a "bleeding rainbow" effect, according to the lawsuit.
